Eurofiber Launches New Long-Haul Fiber Route: Eemshaven to Mons

We are proud to announce the launch of a new 700-kilometer long-haul fiber optic route, connecting Eemshaven in the north of the Netherlands to Mons in Belgium. This strategic expansion marks a significant advancement in cross-border digital infrastructure, reinforcing our commitment to enabling secure, high-capacity connectivity across Europe.
Improved network performance
The new route is designed to deliver tangible benefits for organizations operating in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Germany. With six newly established in-line amplifier locations (ILA’s), the network will provide enhanced data efficiency, reliability, and resilience. Customers will experience improved network performance and greater opportunities to scale, innovate, and connect seamlessly across borders.
Connecting cities
This connection opens direct, high-capacity pathways between major digital and business hubs, including Liège, Namur, Brussels, Rotterdam, and Düsseldorf. As a result, more locations are now within reach for organizations seeking robust data center connectivity and business park access.
Completion within 18 months
The project is scheduled for completion within 18 months, with new fibers and Points of Presence ready to support the next generation of digital business. The route is designed to support the latest technologies, including high-density laser transmission.
