Feedback on the Q1 poll

DTC

The great winner is of the expected growth in Data is Frankfurt, followed closely by Amsterdam. Our network is predicting the greatest rise in data for Frankfurt. Comments to support this vision are;

  • Data-intensive industries are located there and growing

  • Germany as a connector to Eastern Europe

  • Many financial organizations continue to grow (bitcoin and digital financial solutions)

Summarizing all the feedback on ‘Frankfurt’ is showing us, that it already has a robust fiber network infrastructure and is known for its high connectivity and redundancy. The city's position as a critical node for internet exchange and data traffic drives the growth and expansion of fiber networks. Frankfurt is expected to continue experiencing significant growth in fiber networks to meet the increasing demands of its financial and business sectors

We do agree to this, as we are seeing that Amsterdam has been experiencing significant growth in data usage and digital services due to its thriving tech industry, startup ecosystem, and advanced digital infrastructure. With ongoing investments in technology and innovation, Amsterdam is likely to continue witnessing fast data growth by the end of 2023.

London is following as a good third. As a global financial and technological hub, London generates vast amounts of data across various sectors. The city's diverse industries, including finance, media, and technology, contribute to substantial data growth.

The list is closed by Marseille and Madrid, these cities are both seen as growing in Data Usage and following London and Amsterdam closely. The growth is significant, but still relatively slower compared the more established digital ecosystems in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London.

Marseille received some specific attention for the reason that it is an emerging connectivity hub, as  data growth rate may be influenced by its role as a gateway for intercontinental data traffic. This strategic location makes it an important gateway for data traffic between Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, knowing to be an important hub with intercontinental submarine cables.

Madrid is closing the row as in expected rapid growth of Data. Factors such as market dynamics, industry composition, and digital adoption rates can influence the pace of data growth in the city. Although some responses gave strong comments on future growth in Madrid. As Madrid is giving us a beckoning perspective for being capital city of Spain and it’s efforts to expand its fiber network infrastructure. Spain, as a whole, has invested in fiber infrastructure, and Madrid has benefited from these initiatives. The city's fiber network is expected to continue growing to meet the increasing demand for high-speed connectivity driven by digital transformation efforts and the need for reliable and efficient communication.
