Security

Datacenter Groningen operates at a BORG security level, implemented by Securitas, with strict access procedures that comply with ISO 27001 certification. Access is granted via pass and biometric identification, such as iris scans. In addition, SmartAcess server racks ensure that only authorized employees have access. These advanced security measures guarantee maximum protection for your equipment and data.

Fire prevention

Our data center uses an advanced water mist fire extinguishing system. This system generates very fine water droplets with powerful cooling capacity and a large reactive surface area. By extinguishing fires locally, we can minimize the impact on other data racks and guarantee the availability of your equipment.

Sustainability

Sustainability was central to the design and construction of Datacenter Groningen. The data center runs entirely on 100% green electricity and uses energy-efficient equipment. Our innovative cooling technology, including low-speed ventilation, is up to 30% more efficient than traditional cooling systems. In addition, we reuse residual heat to heat surrounding homes and offices in collaboration with WarmteStad.

Regional involvement

In the north of the Netherlands, we are actively involved in the region through our data center in Groningen, where our innovative Datalab is central to collaboration and innovation. We use the Datalab for innovations in various fields and offer space, resources, and functionalities to educational and research institutions. In addition, our data center has been chosen as the exclusive partner for the data center infrastructure of the Province of Groningen, which ensures more efficient use of local facilities and contributes to the growth of the regional IT infrastructure.
