Eurofiber in EcoVadis global top 5% best-performing companies thanks to ESG program

According to the latest sustainability rating by EcoVadis, Eurofiber Netherlands has risen from silver to gold status (gold medal). In attaining this gold position with its ESG initiatives, Eurofiber has reached the top 5% out of a total of 100,000 companies rated by EcoVadis worldwide.

Among other things, Eurofiber’s ESG program resulted in a 50% reduction in CO2 in 2025 compared to 2021, well on the way to reaching the company’s target to be 100% climate neutral in 2030. To achieve this, Eurofiber is working on various sustainability initiatives. Examples include exclusively using sustainably generated electricity, adopting a lease policy focused on 100% electric driving, reducing energy consumption in the supply chain, and increasing circularity of products. Similarly, Manifesto agreements have been made with key suppliers to move toward carbon-neutral construction and maintenance of the Eurofiber network and reductions in packaging materials. Eurofiber is also constantly exploring new opportunities to re-use equipment.

2023-Ecovadis-Gold-LogoWith a gold-standard final rating of 76 out of 100 points, Eurofiber scored higher than 97% of all companies rated by EcoVadis operating in the telecom sector worldwide. Achieving 80 points in the environment category and 70 points in the sustainable procurement category, Eurofiber came in twice as high as the average score within the telecommunications sector.

“For a number of years, we have been making great strides with our Environment, Social & Governance goals and initiatives. Last year, for example, we arranged new financing linked to achieving ESG goals, such as reducing our carbon footprint, but also social goals such as the number of women in the various management layers. Obviously, we are proud of this independent recognition by EcoVadis, since Eurofiber is now positioned among the top 5% of global best-performing companies in ESG!'' says Jeroen Kanselaar, ESG Manager at Eurofiber.
