Eurofiber and eGem partners in Diginetwerk

Maarssen, Amersfoort, 13 April 2022 - Diginetwerk provider eGem and Eurofiber, provider of digital infrastructure, have entered into a partnership for connecting government authorities to the national Diginetwork. With this partnership, eGem will have 60,000 kilometers of high-end fiber from the Eurofiber network as part of its offering.

Since 2015, eGem has offered a platform which connects municipalities, water authorities, provinces and other government authorities to the national Diginetwork. This is used for the exchange of data between governments, varying from geographical data to the issuance of passports. Without exception, this data requires maximum reliability and security of the connections. Eurofiber supplies digital infrastructure in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany. Its Dutch network is part of the vital infrastructure of the Netherlands, as determined by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Johan van Marle, Director of eGem: 'High availability is crucial while processing essential data, so we are extremely happy to include the leading Eurofiber network as part of our offer.
