Maarssen, April 28, 2020 – In 2019 the companies of the Eurofiber Group achieved a pro forma adjusted EBITDA* of EUR 109 million (2018: EUR 91 million) on pro forma revenues of EUR 181 million (2018: EUR 153 million).

Revenues and EBITDA grew in part due to acquisitions: in November 2019, Eurofiber acquired Datacenter Nedzone in the Netherlands and ATE and Eurafibre in France, and it took a 50 percent stake in Eura DC (France). The revenues and EBITDA stated here are pro forma: the results of the acquired companies have been included as if they had been part of Eurofiber Group for the whole year. Excluding the acquisitions, the increase in adjusted EBITDA and revenues was nearly 9 percent and more than 10 percent respectively.

Outlook for 2020

In March, the COVID-19 crisis affected all of the countries in which Eurofiber operates. Because digital connectivity and cloud services are now more vital than ever for the economy and society, the crisis has not yet had a major impact on Eurofiber’s commercial activities. There are currently no significant delays in network construction for customers in the Netherlands. This is not the case in France and Belgium, however, where government authorities have imposed restrictions on the delivery of new projects. Eurofiber expects to be able to largely compensate for the financial consequences of this in the course of 2020.

* Eurofiber defines adjusted EBITDA as company earnings before depreciation and amortisation, adjusted for the effect of any exceptional or extraordinary profits and losses.
