Volkswagen Pon Financial Services (VWPFS) is a subsidiary of the German VW Financial Services and is centralising parts of its ICT activities. VWPFS is a company with a number of units that focus on financial services. VWPFS decided to link two of these units with a fibre-optic connection. Via the connection Lease+ in Amersfoort can deploy various computer systems to support the activities of DutchLease in Utrecht. This solution was not only fast and secure, but through the application of Voice over IP for internal telephone traffic it was also more cost-effective than other solutions.
